Breaded and fried sage leaves and courgette flowers

These sage leaves and courgette or courgette flowers make a fantastic aperitif. Quick and easy to do. Wash the sage leaves and courgette flowers, also removing the pistils. They are dabbed with soft kitchen paper and placed on a plate. In another dish I put a few tablespoons of flour, a pinch of salt and enough beer ( I prefer Ceres :-)), mix to make it become an almost liquid batter. You can replace beer with milk, wine or sparkling water. Dip the leaves and flowers in the batter and then fry them in a large pan with a good bit of seed oil. Cook on both sides. Once fried, place them on a large plate with absorbent paper, leave them for a few minutes then you can place them on a serving plate.
