Spezzatino di maiale con fave (Pork stew with broad beans)

Cooked broad beans look a bit like giant peas, but the flavor is a bit different, specific. First remove the broad beans from the pod and place them in a deep dish. In a small saucepan, cook some vegetable or meat broth. Fry 2 onions for a few minutes and then add the pork cut into small pieces, cook and stir until the meat has become white and the liquid has evaporated. Add the broad beans then add the broth and cook everything for about half an hour. Add 3 tablespoons of triple tomato paste, salt and pepper. If you want, you can also add 2 bay leaves for more flavor. Serve hot!
